Jane Hugentober is an Artist and V I L D B L U M E’s Founder and Designer.

After earning her MFA in Painting and Drawing from University of California, Los Angeles in 2014, she settled in Northern California with her family where she continues her studio work and designs for V I L D B L U M E, which she founded and launched in August 2019. Inspired by timeless, pared-down vintage design and California’s raw, natural beauty and landscapes - Jane thoughtfully designs for V I L D B L U M E. Every piece is heirloom quality, designed and made in California. In both her art making and design work - she has a very strong intuitive and intimate, physical approach. It’s a meditative and inspiring process.

Her design and art work are deeply influenced by process driven art of the 1960’s, feminist art and design from the 1970’s and 1990’s functional, effortless minimalism. A sensory storytelling emerges in her design work through the process of making, the materials themselves. Her art practice is expansive and she gravitates towards the languages of painting and drawing, sculpture and textile/fiber, clay, performance, sound and video.

Jane is a proud Mother and lives/works in Northern California with her family.
